Abstract
Objective: To discuss the clinical value of CBCT in diagnosis and treatment of dens in dente. Methods: Three cases that were diagnosed dens in dente by periapical film or pantomography had received a CBCT scan to observe the shapes of root canals, the number of dens invaginatus, the shapes of the pulp chambers and the sealing degree of cavities in the dens in dente after the treatment. And the results were compared with the images provided by X-ray and panoramic radiograph. Results: CBCT could clearly display the shapes of root canals, the number of dens invaginatus, the shapes of the pulp chambers and the sealing degree of cavities in the dens in dente after the treatment. Conclusion: CBCT could provide the overall images of dens in dente before and after the treatment, it took the advantages in making the diagnosis and treatment of dens in dente.
