Section 1 Submission Instruction
Submission of an article shall be regarded as the authors’ consent on the following items unless otherwise stated.
1. The submission is approved by all authors and by the institute where the study was carried out. The manuscript is an original work and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. There is no content that infringes the copyright or other rights of third-parties in the manuscript.
2. Authors should guarantee that the content of the manuscript is not confidential.
3. An APC will be payable (RMB 400/black and white page; RMB 1000/color page; a manuscript handling and processing fee of RMB 200) after the manuscript is accepted.
4. Authors should read carefully “Submission Instruction” and “Ethics” before submission.

Section 2 Publishing Scope
Computerized Tomography (CT) is a technology that, without destroying the structure of an object, uses mathematical methods to reconstruct two-dimensional images on specific layers of an object through computer processing based on the projection data of physical quantities (such as seismic waves, X-rays, etc.) obtained around the object, and forms three-dimensional images based on a series of the above-mentioned two-dimensional images. With the development in CT technology and other disciplines, CT technology now has a wide application in material detection, and has been widely used in medicine, industry, geophysics, engineering, non-destructive testing and other fields. The publishing scope of this journal includes:

Section 3 Manuscript Requirement
1. General Requirement: The manuscript should have clear points, reliable evidence, good structure, and logic argumentation in accurate and standard language.
2. Abbreviations: Abbreviations in foreign languages must comply with international standards. Both the full name and Chinese translation must be provided for abbreviations when they appear the first time in the text.
3. Measurements, Symbols, Units, and Numerical Precisions
● The name, symbol, and unit of measurements in text shall comply with national standards.
● Measurement and symbols representing variables, and symbols of coordinate axis must be in italics. Subscripts should be in italics if they are variables, otherwise in regular font.
● For the first appearance of measurement symbols in text, the name and unit of measurement must be indicated.
● Vectors and matrices are in black italic.
● Tensors are in Flower italic.
● The name and symbol of unit should comply with international standard system, and the symbols of unit must be in regular font.
● Commonly used mathematical symbols (the base of natural logarithm e, circumference ratio π, transpose T, differential d, etc.) shall be in regular font.
● Except for special cases, values in text shall be accurate to 3 decimal places.
4. Figures
● Figures shall be attached, if necessary, which should be scientific, standardized, clear and well designed. The resolute should be 300 dpi at minimum.
● Heading and number of each figure must be marked clearly. Headings should be in both Chinese and English, and put beneath the figures. Coordinate axis is expressed in "measurement symbol/unit," such as f/Hz, v/(m·s-1).
● Country borders in maps must comply with national regulation. Notations can be added if necessary.
5. Tables
● A three-line style should be adopted. Auxiliary lines can be added when necessary.
● The number and heading are placed above the tables both in Chinese and English.
● The requirement for measurement symbols and units is the same as for figures.
● Figures and tables could be embedded in text or be submitted in separate files.
6. Statistics and Simulations
● Statistic results should be provided for content involving mathematical statistics or model simulation. For example: "The results of this article are the same/higher/lower compared to literature [1]". The mean test of single sample should be given.
● In comparing the means of two populations, the mean test of independent sample or a paired sample should be given. For example, if the article involves regression model, the model and parameters should be provided, as well as the goodness of fit of the model.
7. References
● Submitted manuscripts should follow the Copyright Law.
● References information must be listed in full when materials, data, methodology, graphics, results, and conclusions are cited.
● The “sequential coding system” should be adopted for description format of the reference documents. For details, please refer to the “Manuscript Template”.
8. Other
● Please indicate the source, title and number of funding project if any.
● An introduction within 200 Chinese characters and a 1-inch colored photo of the first author and corresponding author should be provided (please refer to the Manuscript Template)
Section 4 Copyright and Archive
1. Authors will sign Copyright Transfer Agreement (template can be found at “Download Center”) and agree to transfer the copyright of the article (in any language), including reproduction, distribution, online dissemination, online-first publishing, translation, and compilation (part or all of the article), to the editorial office of Computerized Tomography Theory and Applications worldwide free of charge. The editorial office has right to transfer the rights above to a third-party.
2. Computerized Tomography Theory and Applications is an open access journal. Once published, all articles will be immediately and permanently available for readers to read and download free of charge. Permitted third party reuse of the articles published by the journal is defined by the following user license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows reusers to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the license terms below are followed: reusers must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. Reusers may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses the use. Reusers may not use the material for commercial purposes. If reusers remix, transform, or build upon the material, they may not distribute the modified material. The authors have right to spread or make use of the article under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License. 3. Since 2000, all journal articles have been digitally archived and can be searched and downloaded from the journal website. In order to ensure data security, all information has also been backed up in the editorial office. Before 2000, the hard and soft copy of each issue of the journal had been kept in the editorial office for archiving. In addition, other relevant materials are also kept by the editorial office, such as supplementary information and forms provided by the authors.
4. Data Sharing: The authors are encouraged to publish or share their research data whenever appropriate. Data sharing is helpful for experiment repeating and data reuse. The data for sharing may include original data, observation records, experimental results, etc. The journal also encourages the sharing of software, code, models, algorithms, protocols, methods and other useful materials. The authors can upload the materials above to an accessible third-party repository and make a proper citation or add a link at the end of the article.
Section 5 Peer Review and Editing
1. The journal adopts blind review system. After submission, the editorial office will conduct a preliminary review of the manuscript. The editorial office will reject the manuscripts which are insufficient in originality, having serious scientific or technical mistakes, lacking valuable information, or not in the scope of the journal. Manuscripts which have passed the preliminary review will be anonymously sent to two or more peer reviewers. Authors must respond to reviewers' every comment and submit the revised version in time. This process would be repeated until reviewers and editors are satisfied with the manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief will conduct the final round of review and the editorial office shall impartially select manuscripts on the basis of academic quality and the review comment.
2. If there is no reply for more than 3 months after submission, it shall be deemed as rejected and authors can re-submit the manuscript to another journal. Authors should keep a copy of the manuscript by their own. The revision of manuscript should be completed within the given time.
3. The editorial staff / editors / editorial board members should not be involved in publishing decisions on papers which they have written themselves or have been written by their family members or colleagues. Any such submission should be strictly subject to the journal’s usual editorial process. Peer review should be handled independently from the relevant author/editor and their research groups.
4. Appeal and Post-publication Discussions: If authors have objections against the review comments, they can file an appeal. Authors should write an "Appeal Letter" stating the manuscript serial number and send it to the editorial office. The letter needs to provide detailed reasons for the appeal, including a comprehensive and reasonable explanation responding to the review comments, and it must be stamped by the author's institution for validation. The editorial office will decide whether to accept the appeal as appropriate. We warmly welcome authors and readers to participate in discussions on our published articles. Comments can be sent to the editorial office, who will handle them promptly and provide feedback as necessary. Furthermore, the journal actively encourages readers and authors to engage in mutual supervision and offer feedback on pertinent information, aiming to cultivate a vibrant and positive academic environment. Section 6：Correction & Retraction
Articles published online or in print are considered the final and complete version. In principle, the journal does not make corrections or retractions on published articles. However, in case of the situations described below, corrections or retractions may be carried out if truly necessary.
1. Correction: If there appears to be an unintended scientific mistake in the article which would not lead to significant impacts on the results and conclusion, the editorial office will publish corrections in the journal as soon as possible, detailing the changes made to the original article and indicating the source of the article. The journal will release the corrected new version of the article, and specify the changes to the original article and the date of update. In addition, the superseded version will also be archived. Readers can obtain it directly, but only the latest version of the article should be used for citation.
2. Retraction: In the following cases, the editorial office would retract published articles and issue retraction statements:
1) If an article is found to have severe scientific errors making the results and conclusion of the article unreliable;
2) For article suspected of academic misconduct, such as plagiarism and data falsification, the editorial office will initiate an investigation and issue a statement to inform readers of the risks associated with the article. Once the investigation is completed, the result will be made public. If the academic misconduct is confirmed, the article will be immediately retracted and a retraction statement will be issued by the editorial office.
