  • K oil field is located at Akesay host in Southern Turgay Basin and its main reservoir is Cretaceous delta sand and Jurassic Channel sand. K oil field has a long distance straddle from North to South with varied reservoir type and obscure sand margin. After 2000, the K oil field entered development stage, and many problems like big different oil produce rate between nearby wells, complex oil-water contact (OWC) and other confused things need to resolve. The oil filed must enhance their resolution of sand imaging to cope with requests of oil production increased and well pattern adjustment. In this study, suitable technique like sensitive attribute analysis, 3D visualization module and geostatistic inversion are used to rethink and revaluate the reservoir of K oil field. At a result, research team found more independent sand body, make OWC clearly and achieved hydrocarbon rules of different reservoir, then give conclusions to answer the confused question during oil developed.
