The Frequency-Space Domain Depth Migration Based on Arbitrarily Wide-Angle Wave Equation

  • It is limited for migration algorithm based on the conventional one-way wave equation to image geological structure with large angle correctly. Based on the time-space domain arbitrarily wide-angle equation, a new frequency-space domain finite-difference post-stack migration scheme is developed by transforming time-variable through the Fourier transform into frequency domain, using finite difference discretization. Test of the models show that the method can adapt to a larger angle strata migration by the parameter optimization.
