Abstract
The CT-pathologic correlative analysis of renal cell carcinomas was performed to assess the value of CT staging in 41 patients. The results showed that preoperative CT in 78% of stage Ⅰ,83% of stageⅡ,75% of stage Ⅲand 100% of stage Ⅳ tumors were corresponded that of pathologic staging postoperatively. Overall, the rate of correspondence was 85%. The sensitivity of CT in detecting metastatic adenopathy, veneous invasion and adjacent organ invasion were 67%, 100 % and 100% reciprocally. The CT criteria and error for preoperatively staging were discussed.
