Abstract
Objective To investigate the imaging methods of Spiral CT in Wrist joint and the diagnostic value in the Wrist joint trauma. Methods There were 36 cases in group of Wrist joint injures. All cases were performed in volume scan with SCT, then performed in thin slice low and high contrast image reconstructions. After that, all the source images were input into CT 3D work station, Wrist joints were imaged by post process software such as Multiplanar reconstructions(MPR), Maximum intensity projection(MIP), and surface shade display(SSD). All the pictures were observed and analyzed by two radiologists. Result All post process images that obtain from the SCT show 35 patients with wrist vessel bone fracture (Os navicular fractures),3 patients with Os trigonum fractures, 1 patient with Os trapezium fractures. SCT 3D-imaging can produce clear and comprehensive images of wrist joint fracture and dislocation or piece of fracture in the wrist joint. Rate of displaying wrist joint trauma with thin slice MPR is 100%. Conclusions: The SCT thin slice MPR imaging was best noninvasive image method to show the shape of wrist joint. It is the high value in diagnosing of wrist joint trauma in clinical practice.
