Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical application value of double-phase multi-slice spiral CT angiography(MSCT)in skull base meningioma. Methods The examinations of CT plane scanning and double-phase MSCTA were performed in 13 cases with skull base meningioma. All data were analyzed with the software of multiplanner reconstruction(MPR),maximum intensity projection(MIP),volume rendering(VR),shaded surface display(SSD)on the workstation. Result All the lesions were located in the anterior or middle skull base, the tumors and the artery branches of Willis circle were enhanced evidently. The skull, tumor and blood vessels were simultaneously present clearly in MSCTA and the main appearances included the internal carotid artery, anterior or middle cerebral artery were surrounded, the skull bone were involved and the peripheral constructions were deviated from their normal positions. Conclusion MSCTA can show the imaging characters of skull base meningioma and the correlations of tumor, blood vessel and the peripheral constructions,it is useful to diagnose meningioma, choose the treatment programs and evaluate the risk of the operation, which had the important value in clinical application.
