Abstract
Objective: To study the value of polarized-light dermoscopy(DP) image analysis technique in the diagnosis of skin tumors.Method: On the basis of visual diagnosis,DP diagnosis of skin tumor is carried out,and after histopathological diagnosis, comparison and retrospective analysis are made on the diagnostic results. Results: Diagnostic indicators of 948 cases of skin tumor and pigmented skin lesion with DP technique have been summarized, which show that the average sensitivity is 88.77%,specificity 94.92% and accuracy 92.72%,i.e.23.94% higher than the accuracy of visual diagnosis. Conclusion: DP is a non-invasive imaging technique for observing and characterizing epidermal and subepidermal tissue. It is a useful auxiliary method for diagnosing various skin tumors, especially pigmented skin tumor, and identifying benign and malignant skin tumors. Therefore,DP technique is of great importance for avoiding blind biopsy, providing effective information for resection range and selecting the most reasonable therapy.
