Abstract: Chronic pancreatitis is a chronic progressive inflammation of the pancreas, and usually leads to persistent impairment of the pancreatic function. The clinical manifestations of the disease are not specific, and radiologic evaluation is often needed for clinical diagnosis. With the development of various imaging modalities, they play an important role not only in the early diagnosis and severity assessment, but also in guidance of the treatment of the disease. We review the advances of imaging methods and diagnosis of the chronic pancreatitis in this article.
