Abstract: Voluming CT which is studied later than cross-sectional CT belongs to the field of high-new technology. Compared to cross-sectional CT, it has a lot of advantages, such as the rate of obtaining projections, X-ray utilization ratio and the isotropy of the spatial resolution and density resolution in 3D object. Voluming CT will became one of the more effective methods in medical imaging and industrial nondestructive test. In this paper we introduce the history, the principal characteristics, the algorithmic classifies and the future prospects of the Voluming CT.
