Abstract: The application of Cone Beam Computed Tomography(CBCT) in three-dimensional oral imaging has recently become a focus for both CT technology researchers and dentists.In particular,with the development of dental implanting technology,the CBCT image based implant planning and surgery-guide template design has become a new research field.This paper provides a summary of the general principle of dental CBCT imaging and an overview of its clinical applications.We compared dental CBCT and conventional CT,and concluded some key techniques and research spots to be used for reference by researchers in this field.
