Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the Enhanced CT features of pulmonary sclerosing pneumocytoma(PSP). Methods:CT information was analyzed in 42 cases of pathologically confirmed PSP. Results:All tumors presented as solitary pulmonary nodules or masses with well-defined outline. The lesions were presented as round shape in 11, oval shape in 3 and mild lobulated in 28. 41 tumors located in the peripheral lung, 1 located in the central lung. "Vascular welt sign" was seen in 29 cases, calcification in 11, "vascular enhancement sign" in 8, "halo sign" in 6, "air crescent sign" in 1.After administration of contrast media, tumors in 3 cases showed slight enhancement, 15 showed moderate enhancement, 24 showed obvious enhancements in arterial phase. The CT value of 10 cases undergoing venous phase scan was further increased compared with that of arterial phase. Diameters of these tumors ranged from 0.9 to 8.5 cm, the probability of inhomogeneous was higher in the > 3 cm group than ≤ 3 cm group(
P<0.05). Conclusion:PSP has the characteristics of high degree of enhancement and long duration on contrast-enhanced CT, which is helpful for the diagnosis of this disease in combination with the morphological features.
