Abstract:
Objective: to evaluate the feasibility of two methods of contrast-enhanced CT and MR Imaging in evaluating of abdominal aorta and its branches. Materials and methods: The patients who met the inclusion criteria were collected, with MR enhanced scan and CT enhanced scan or abdominal CT angiography conducted. The images of two groups were, analyzed and compared, and the diameters of the abdominal aorta and branch vessels were measured. Results: A total of 30 patients(17 male and 13 female) were collected. The CT enhanced scan and MR enhanced scan could clearly show the abdominal aorta and its major branches. The abdominal aorta diameter(CT, 17.38 mm ± 2.69 mm; MR, 16.96 mm ± 2.82 mm), the celiac trunk diameter(CT, 7.56 mm ± 0.96 mm; MR, 7.16 mm ± 1.35 mm), the superior mesenteric artery diameter(CT, 7.61 mm ± 1.29 mm; MR, 7.17 mm ± 1.39 mm), the right renal artery diameter(CT, 5.88 mm ± 1.12 mm; MR, 5.46 mm ± 1.51 mm), the left renal artery diameter(CT, 5.75 mm ± 0.82 mm; MR, 5.40 mm ± 1.29 mm), <i<P</i< > 0.05. There was no statistical significance in the difference. Person correlation coefficient: abdominal aortic <i<r</i<= 0.773, celiac trunk <i<r</i<= 0.610, superior mesenteric artery <i<r</i<= 0.605, right renal artery <i<r</i<= 0.664, <i<P</i<= 0.000, There was a strong correlation. The left renal artery <i<r</i<= 0.435, <i<P</i<= 0.016, there was a moderate correlation. Conclusion: The data obtained from MR scan and CT scan is equally accurate, and the two imaging methods are comparable.
