Clinical Application of Gadoxetic Acid Disodium–Enhanced MRI in The Diagnosis and Differentiation of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

    • Gadolinium ethoxybenzyl diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid is the most common hepatobiliary-specific magnetic resonance contrast agent. It is commonly used for intrahepatic space-occupying lesions and exhibits obvious advantages in the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In this study, we systematically reviewed the general characteristics of gadoxetic acid disodium along with its application in HCC diagnosis and differentiation, the optimization of the quality and scanning processes of magnetic resonance imaging, preoperative prediction of the degree of differentiation and microvascular invasion in HCC, and prognosis and monitoring of postoperative HCC recurrence.
